Who we are
Free House Clearance (trading as Canvey House Clearance) is a sole trader house clearance business based at 15 Central Wall Road, Canvey Island, Essex, SS8 9UU, operating as a registered waste carrier. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
When you fill in the enquiry form on this site, we collect:
- Your name and phone number
- The service you're enquiring about and any message you write
- Any photos you choose to attach
We don't ask for or collect payment details, email addresses, or any information beyond what you enter into that form. We don't use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising pixels on this site. The only thing we store in your browser is a small flag confirming you've already submitted an enquiry, so the form doesn't show itself again on your next visit — this stays on your device and is never sent to us.
How we use it
We use the information you submit solely to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, and arrange or carry out the clearance you've asked about. We don't sell, rent, or share your details with third parties for marketing purposes.
Where it's stored
Enquiry form submissions are processed and stored by Netlify, our website hosting provider, and forwarded to our business email address. Netlify acts as our data processor for this purpose — you can read their own privacy policy at netlify.com/privacy.
Google Reviews
The "Leave Us a Review" button on this site links directly to our Google Business Profile. If you choose to leave a review, that's handled entirely by Google under their own privacy policy — we don't receive or process any personal data from that interaction beyond what's publicly visible on the review itself.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and, where a job goes ahead, for our own record-keeping as a registered waste carrier. If you'd like your information deleted sooner, just contact us and we'll remove it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. To do any of this, just get in touch using the details below.
